Fudgy Toffee
Brownies Recipe...
Ingredients:
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
5 oz. unsweetened chocolate- chopped
4 large eggs
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter chopped into 1" pieces
1 3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1 1/4 cup toffee bits.
2/3 cup whipping cream
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9" x 9" x 2" metal pan with foil. Butter the
foil.
2. Combine 1 cup chocolate chips, butter and 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate in large
saucepan . Stir over low heat until mixture is smooth.
3. Remove from heat. Whisk in sugar, then eggs, then flour. Whisk in 1 cup toffee
bits. Pour into pan.
4. Bake about 45 minutes. Test the center. Cool for 15 minutes. Using spatula, press
down brownie edges to level the top.
5. For topping, bring cream to simmer in small saucepan. Add remaining 1 cup
chocolate chips and 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate. Whisk until smooth. Pour over
brownies. Sprinkle with toffee bits. Chill until cold (about 2 hours up to 1 day).
6. Lift brownies from pan and remove from foil.
